Why would I want to use this instead of an Email or Inbound Marketing platform?

This is a set-it-and-forget-it tool, seriously. Simply select the page/post/cpt you would like AlertMe! to appear on, and move onto other things. When you update a page/post/cpt AlertMe! appears on, simply check «Send update notification» before clicking the «Update» button and your subscribed visitors will instantly receive an email alert.

Fantasic little plugin. Really simple to set up and use, and does exactly what it says it'll do. Totally recommended.
I am building a local listing for small independent businesses and I want to update site visitors whenever the businesses that they have subscribed to update their pages. This plugin allows visitors to subscribe to individual businesses and receive updates whenever new offers and deals are posted. I searched for solutions for some time and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I messaged support with some feature suggestions and they implemented my suggestions and kept me really well informed about the development of the plugin too. Great plugin and a great team behind it too.
There are not many Alert-Me type WordPress plugins that suited my needs. This plugin provides an email alert to subscribers that an individual page or post has been updated. I can manually check a box in the edit screen and after Updating, an email goes out to everyone that subscribed. I can also select an opt-out confirmation page. That way I can create a customized confirmation page with a special message or directions to opt in again. In addition, the creators of the plugin are very responsive. I sent them a few wish-list suggestions and they quickly updated the plugin, making it even better. Impressive customer service. Thanks much.
