Pro version didn’t work as advertised. Hopeless support. Refund ‘guarantee’ not honoured. Avoid this at all costs.

I had hoped to find a simple plugin that’d show an input field when selecting the featured image or maybe a tab and then search for images in Unsplash or other sources. It didn’t work like that. In fact, after installing it and clicking away all the «BUY PRO» or «GIVE ME 5 STARS» notifications on the Dashboard, I couldn’t intuitively find a way to actually use this plugin. In my opinion, plugins should be made in a way that it doesn’t need any description and can be used intuitively. The plugin’s settings page made it clear that the free version is more or less useless. Most features, including the core ones, aren’t available (i.imgur.com/0p8Zk8s.png) unless I pay for them. I don’t mind developers making money with their plugins, but this just goes too far. This also goes for the constant CTA to rate this plugin, which I’m doing right now. In addition to that, the settings page is ugly, and the code behind it is probably not the best either. When saving something, I receive dozens of «Settings saved» notifications (i.imgur.com/Pw3rDYi.png). I wish I could say anything positive about this plugin, but I did not find anything. I’m giving it two stars because the only useful feature I found was the bulk setting of the featured image for multiple posts. I’m really sorry!

It certainly makes good business sense for popular features to be moved behind paywall. But the change did come as a surprise for us because it wasn’t really mentioned in the changelog. I guess better communication would’ve helped conversion to pro version even more. Still, we’re much indebted to the author for making this much-needed feature available for free until v1.3.

For the love of god, can you please get rid of the utterly anoying tooltips asking people to write reviews or buy pro, shh. litterally made me uninstall this plugin.

I was looking for a plugin to allow setting featured images from the admin screens to save time and this does that. A little glitchy, but does the trick.

Fast, simple and supports cpt’s — no premium bs. Good job!
