Display real-time global cyber threats activity directly on your WordPress site.
This plugin shows the current worldwide threat level, the latest emerging malware
threats, and guides on how to remove them—helping your visitors stay alert when 
cyber risks are high.

Ideal for computer repair shops and IT professionals who want to demonstrate up-
to-date security awareness and add value for their customers.
 The plugin automatically
pulls and updates data using feeds from [PCrisk.com](https://www.pcrisk.com/), ensuring
fresh and accurate threat information at all times.

**Supports both the classic Widget system and the block editor.**

Features:

 * Works as a classic WordPress widget AND as a Gutenberg block.
 * Customisable title.
 * Customisable number of latest threats displayed (maximum 10 items).
 * Option to hide the latest threats list entirely.
 * Shows last-update date. Status is usually updated every 12 hours.
 * Compatible with PHP 7.3 and above.
 * Compatible with WordPress 5.8 and above.

## Установка

#### Using the WordPress admin panel (recommended)

 1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
 2. Go to **Plugins  Add New**.
 3. Click **Upload Plugin** and select the downloaded `.zip` file.
 4. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate Plugin**.

#### Classic Widget

 1. Go to **Appearance  Widgets**.
 2. Find **Global threat activity widget** in the available widgets list.
 3. Drag and drop it into any sidebar or widget area.
 4. Configure the title and the number of latest infection items to display, then click**
    Save**.

#### Gutenberg Block

 1. Open any page or post in the block editor.
 2. Click the **+** (Add Block) button and search for **Global Threat Activity**.
 3. Insert the block.
 4. Use the **Inspector Controls** (right-hand sidebar) to set the title and the number
    of latest infection items to show.
 5. Update or publish the page/post.

#### Manual installation

 1. Upload the `global-threat-activity-level-widget` directory to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
 2. Activate the plugin through the **Plugins** menu in WordPress.
 3. Follow the Classic Widget or Gutenberg Block steps above.

### The threat level image is not showing. What should I do?

The plugin fetches live data from PCrisk.com via rss. Please ensure your server 
can make outgoing HTTP requests. You can check this under **Tools  Site Health  
Info  Server**.

### Does the plugin cache the feed data?

Yes. Plugin uses WordPress’s built-in cache functions to cache feed data, so the
external server is not contacted on every page load.

### Is this plugin compatible with the block editor (Gutenberg)?

Yes. From version 1.1.5 onwards the plugin registers a native Gutenberg block in
addition to the classic widget.
