Normal WordPress update does that, and should be sufficient, but if you overwrote plugin files manually, be sure to execute deactivation/activation cycle, otherwise you will miss the execution of activation hooks and some options may become misconfigured. for For the sake of performance, plugin is not programmed to run all the necessary checks every time it is loaded, since activation hook is an expensive operation. That is why it is important to execute deactivation/activation cycle. **Automatic installation** *This is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of Recent Post Widget Thumbnail. 1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins -> Add New 2. In the search field type **Recent Post Widget Thumbnail** and click Search Plugins. 3. Find **Recent Post Widget Thumbnail**. 4. Then click on Install Now after that activate the plugin. 5.
