Описание
Dutify improves the international shopping experience for your customers by enabling live duty and tax calculations directly in your WooCommerce checkout.
When a customer from another country places an order, Dutify automatically calculates the applicable import duties, sales taxes, excise taxes, and additional charges, giving your customers full cost transparency before they complete their purchase.
Key Features
- Live duty & tax calculation — Real-time landed cost calculations in cart and checkout
- Accurate duties and taxes — Calculations include import duty, sales taxes (VAT/GST), excise duties, and other government charges
- DDP & DDU support — Display duty estimates with or without charging them (Delivery Duty Paid/Unpaid)
- Handling fees — Optionally configure and display carrier handling fees as a separate fee in checkout
- Per-product exemptions — Exclude specific products from duty and tax calculations
- Country restrictions — Optionally limit duty & tax calculation to specific destination countries
- HS code tracking — Automatically assign HS codes to your inventory so every shipment is classified
- Customizable labels — Configure the labels shown to customers in cart and checkout
How It Works
- Install the plugin and enter your Dutify API token.
- Configure which taxes to calculate (import duty, sales tax, excise, etc.).
- Dutify automatically detects international orders and calculates duties at checkout.
Requirements
- WooCommerce 7.0 or higher
- A Dutify account — Sign up here: https://dutify.com/partner
- An API token from your Dutify account settings page
External Services
This plugin connects to the Dutify API (https://dutify.com) to calculate import duties and taxes for cross-border WooCommerce orders. This is required for the plugin to function and requires a Dutify API token.
When a duty/tax calculation runs, at the cart, at checkout, and when an administrator uses the «Recalculate Duties & Taxes» button, the following data is sent to the Dutify API:
- The origin (store) country and the destination country/state of the order
- The order currency and shipping cost
- Your store name
- For each non-exempt item: the product title, unit price, quantity, and any Dutify classification, HS code, or country-of-origin attributes you have set
- The visitor’s browser User-Agent string (sent as a request header for diagnostics)
No data is sent unless the plugin is enabled and an API token is configured.
Separately, when an administrator turns on «Restrict countries» under WooCommerce Dutify Calculation Rules, the plugin fetches the current list of Dutify-supported countries from the Dutify API (https://dutify.com/api/v1/countries) using your API token, so you can choose which destination countries to calculate duty and tax for. This request is only made while an administrator is viewing that settings tab (at most once every 24 hours, or when they click «Sync now»), sends no order or customer data, and does not run unless country restrictions are enabled.

Часто задаваемые вопросы
-
Do I need a Dutify account?
-
Yes. You need a Dutify account to obtain an API token. You can create one for free at https://dutify.com/partner.
-
Which countries are supported?
-
Dutify supports duty and tax calculations for shipments between most countries worldwide. See https://docs.dutify.com/docs/supported-countries for the latest coverage.
-
Does this plugin work with variable products?
-
Yes. The plugin reads product attributes at the variation level and calculates duties based on the specific item in the cart.
-
Do I need to classify my products?
-
The plugin will automatically classify your products based on the product title. However, you can also set a Classification ID or HS code as a product attribute to improve accuracy. You can use Dutify’s HS Lookup Tool at https://dutify.com/hs-lookup to find the correct codes.
-
Can I exclude certain products from duty calculations?
-
Yes. Each product has a «Dutify Duty & Tax Exempt» checkbox in the product data panel. Enable it to skip that product.
-
The plugin handles API errors gracefully. The cart and checkout will continue to work normally, but duty/tax fees will not be displayed.
-
Is it compatible with WooCommerce HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)?
-
Yes. The plugin is compatible with WooCommerce HPOS.
-
Can I limit duty & tax calculation to specific countries?
-
Yes. Under WooCommerce Dutify Calculation Rules, turn on «Restrict countries» to choose exactly which destination countries duty and tax should be calculated for. This is off by default, so calculation runs for every destination unless you turn it on. Newly supported countries are added as disabled so you can review them before enabling.
